Plantar Fasciitis Embolization (PFE)

PFE is performed by one of our interventional radiologists using image guidance. A catheter is inserted through a small puncture, usually in the upper leg, and guided to the arteries supplying the heel. Tiny particles are injected to block excess blood flow to the inflamed tissue, which can reduce pain and improve mobility.
